Eve Green Teas

The Japanese and the Chinese have been drinking green tea for thousands of years. Eve’s Green Tea has a distinct smoky and nutlike flavour, it is delicious and mild to drink, and can be enjoyed all year round.

Green tea comes from the Camellia Sinensis plant.

This tea forms part of Eve’s Green Tea collection, the flavour, and aroma of the green tea is enhanced by Jasmine. Over the last three decades, Jasmine Green Tea has evolved from a tea that was mainly enjoyed by tea connoisseurs with palates that prefer a more mature taste, into a tea that is also attracting younger generations’ taste buds. In the past, this tea is only traditionally served as it is without milk or sugar. Many new flavours have been invented and became very popular.

Green Tea and Caffeine:

Yes, Green tea does contain caffeine but less than coffee.

By infusing the tea bag and pouring the first cup off will reduce up to 80% of the caffeine.

The longer the Green tea bag is infused, the stronger the taste (more bitter) and the darker the colour of tea.

Green tea is traditionally served with fresh mint, lemon or honey to enhance flavour and enjoyment.

Organic Green Tea

In the production of Eve's Organic Green Tea, the tea leaves are only lightly steamed. The finished product is smoother in taste.

High Mountain Green Tea

Eve’s High Mountain Green Tea grown in misty weather conditions, abundant sunlight and fluctuating temperatures between the day and night-time has resulted in a green tea which is rich in flavour with a sweet and smooth after taste.

How to brew a satisfying cup of Eve's tea:

1. Use one teabag per mug.

2. Pour over hot water which is below boiling point.

3. Infuse teabag for 3-5 minutes before removing and serving.

4. Teabag may be used a second time for "topping up".

The optimum water temperature to use for brewing green tea is 80 degrees Celsius.
Using boiling water to brew green tea can result in a bitter taste.
